How Do You Measure Up?
Most men have no real idea where they actually fall. This calculator is based on the largest peer-reviewed size study ever published β 15,521 men, BJU International, 2015. Adjust the sliders and your percentile updates live, along with toy and condom recommendations matched to your exact dimensions.
Getting an accurate measurement
Length: Measure from the base of the shaft β pressing the ruler gently against the pubic bone β to the tip. This is bone-pressed erect length (BPEL), the method used in the BJU International study. It removes body fat as a variable and gives a consistent, comparable number.
Girth: Wrap a soft tape measure or a strip of paper around the middle of the shaft at its thickest point. If you use paper, mark where it meets, then measure the paper flat against a ruler. This is erect circumference.
Measure erect only. Flaccid measurements aren’t comparable across men and aren’t what this calculator uses.
Toy recommendations are based on your combined length and girth percentile. They update in real time as you move the sliders.
Overall classification
Average
Larger than approximately 50% of men surveyed
Source: Veale et al. (2015). Am I normal? A systematic review and construction of nomograms for flaccid and erect penis length and circumference in up to 15,521 men. BJU International, 115(6), 978β986. Toy fit uses combined percentile. Condom fit uses girth percentile only.
Condom fit is determined entirely by girth. A condom that’s too narrow constricts, reduces sensation, and is more likely to break. Getting the width right matters more than most men realise.
